Game 51 Recap: BRUINS 3 HABS 1 SHAWN THORNTON IS HAVING A CAREER YEAR

Sweet.

Here's your first-minute-of-the-game fight, starring some no-name rookie and Shawn Thornton:

Sometimes I forget just how much of a hack homer Jack Edwards really is. Never change, Jack. After the game, Shawn Thornton took the classy route and said "He's just a kid trying to prove himself."

Later on the in the first, Robert Lang put it in for the Habs.
0-1. You're all annoyed because the bruins are going to go to the locker room down o-

Oh. Oh yes, Dennis Wideman. 7 seconds left to go, Krejci gets in the zone, and they take the puck from him. Wideman gets it at the point with a second left. It doesn't take longer than a second for the wideman slapper to get in there.

1-1. Huge.

The second period's biggest event was definitely the 4th-line getting a good forcheck going. Yelle almost scores twice, then it gets to Thornton next to the net. His favorite place to score.

2-1. Shawn Thornton now has his career-high goals in a season.

With a minute left, Price gets pulled. Marc Savard gets the puck, and hits the net from just over the red line.

3-1. Amazing accuracy.

Game.
